After a year of searching for a new commuter car, I chose the 2026 Toyota BZ Limited as my first EV which I purchased a week ago. I considered the Tesla Model Y and Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, but the BZ won me over with its practicality and comfort. Unlike the Model Y, which relies on a single screen for most controls, the BZ feels more familiar and user-friendly, making it a great choice for a first-time EV owner. Apple CarPlay works smoothly, the seats are comfortable, and there's plenty of space. While the Model Y is quicker and quieter, the BZ has enough power for highway driving and offers helpful safety features and good camera resolution for parking. Range is about 299 miles per charge, which matches my experience. I travel between 86 and 157 miles daily, depending on my job’s needs. The BZ supports NACS, making charging at Tesla stations easy and convenient. Charging is quick, especially if you precondition the car, and using different adapters (CCS and J1772) has been straightforward, especially at Electrify America. Right now, it’s winter with a recent snowstorm, and warming up the vehicle has been quick and hasn’t hindered the drive quality. This EV powers through the snow like a champ! After a week of owning the car, I did notice one annoying downside: The Toyota app can be slow to update battery status and doesn’t always show door lock status. Paying for Tesla charging is simpler when done directly through Tesla than through the app. Ourisman Toyota Buying Experience: I purchased my EV from Ourisman Toyota, and the experience was fantastic. Biju let me test-drive the BZ for almost the whole day, and we drove all over the Richmond area, including to different charging stations. My main concern was understanding how to charge the vehicle, particularly at the Tesla Charging station. Biju wasn't prideful in recruiting Tim and Josh to help me understand this process. Both gentlemen were willing to drive with me to a nearby Tesla charging station to learn how to charge it, and Josh called a fellow BZ owner, Emily, who provided insight that the vehicle needs to be up really close to the charging station for the cable to be within reach. Biju never pressured me and listened to my financial needs to help me afford this vehicle at a great price with great incentives. The overall process didn’t take all day. My final two cents as a week-old EV owner: Overall, the 2026 BZ Limited fits my commuter needs perfectly, and I feel confident in its reliability as a Toyota. And purchasing it from Ourisman is also a great choice!

Great service! I think the waiting room upstairs at Ourisman is very nice. Coffee/tea is available and work spaces or lounge chairs can be used.

My wife and I were traveling to Florida when our Toyota Siena van’s check engine light came on. We located Ourisman Toyota and their people were so helpful! They were courteous and competent. While they were repairing our vehicle we were provided shuttle service to and from our favorite restaurant. We are grateful we found them!

I had a bad battery on my RAV4 and had a warranty from a different Toyota dealer - Ben was a great help working with the warranty company and getting the battery replaced through them!

I received exceptional, efficient customer service from Ben and the team at Ourisman Toyota. Both a check engine light and yellow warning message came on as I was driving 64 in the dark the evening before. Ben had my car looked at, called me with an estimate, and my car was safely back on the road later that same day before the winter storm. The rental car guy was also very efficient and kind. The fact that Ourisman has rental cars available while your car is being serviced is convenient and a huge plus. Many thanks to Ben and the Ourisman team.
