This month, we’re thrilled to highlight Asher Bunovich, a dedicated and talented member of our service team. Asher recently graduated from the prestigious Toyota T-TEN program, an achievement that already sets him apart. The Toyota T-TEN (Technician Training & Education Network) program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at developing factory-certified automotive technicians. It’s recognized for its rigorous training, combining classroom education with hands-on experience in dealership settings. The program partners with schools nationwide that meet high training standards, ensuring students gain valuable skills applicable directly in the automotive industry. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to test and receive certifications from Toyota, Lexus, and ASE (Automotive Service Excellence), making them highly sought after by dealerships across the country. The T-TEN program offers flexible pathways, allowing students to tailor their education to their career goals.
However, what truly distinguishes Asher is that he is one of very few ever to complete and receive all 9 ASE certifications during the program—a feat that is no small task and speaks volumes to his commitment and expertise.
These certifications allow Asher to gain real-world experience in a wide range of automotive mechanical work, making him an invaluable asset to our team. Outside of work, Asher enjoys working on his own vehicles, a 1950s Jeep and a motorcycle. He enjoys restoration projects as well as any small engine repair work. When asked why he enjoys working at Ourisman Toyota of Richmond, Asher said, “I enjoy working with like-minded people who are as dedicated and work as hard as I do every day.” We are honored to have Asher as part of our team and look forward to witnessing the bright future he has ahead!
