On Friday, September 19th, some of our staff had the privilege of joining the Paralyzed Veterans of America Mid-Atlantic (PVA) members at Bowl America Short Pump to kick off the weekend’s tournament festivities. As a proud sponsor of the 9th Annual PVA Mid-Atlantic Invitational Bowling Tournament, it was a special opportunity to connect with the veterans and the community in a more relaxed, fun setting.

The tournament spans three days at Bowl America Short Pump, featuring singles, doubles, and community-building events.

From the very first frame, spirit and camaraderie were front and center. Our team members and PVA members cheered each other on, swapped bowling tips, and celebrated strikes and spares alike. Of course, there were a few gutter balls (we’re only human), but the laughter and encouragement more than made up for them.

Moments like these are why we support events like the PVA Bowling Tournament: because it’s not just about competition, it’s about community, shared experiences, and honoring the achievements and resilience of veterans.

We’re grateful to the PVA Mid-Atlantic for inviting us to participate, and to all the members who welcomed us so warmly. We’re already looking forward to next year’s tournament, and maybe improving our average score by then!
